Are all products really IN STOCK?
Yes. Our site is updated several times daily and we strive to make sure all our products listed are in stock. If for any reason this is not the case, we will contact you immediately to let you know.
How can I Pre order a new release product?
We add the new releases as soon as we get confirmation from the manufacturer of a new release. We add an expected release date to the product details but this date is subject to change. When you pre order a new release we reserve the product for you and we do not charge you for the item until it is in stock and ready to ship to you.
What is the difference between DCC Ready and DCC Fitted?
DCC Fitted means the decoder needed to let your DCC Controller operate the Locomotive is already fitted and DCC Ready means there is a connector inside the locomotive for you to fit a DCC decoder into. We sell the Hornby DCC Locomotive Decoder Code R8249 on our site.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Solo, Maestro, Switch & VISA Delta. Bank Transfers and Cheques are also accepted.
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
We use secure SSL and an trusted site certificate using 256 bit encryption.

Do you gift wrap?
Yes we offer a gift wrap option. Let us know the occasion and we will choose an appropriate gift wrap. Choose this option during your checkout process.
Do you ship to different delivery addresses?
Yes. We can ship direct to the recipients address. If you prefer, you can also ship to your work address for easier pickup.
Are my personal details kept private?
We only use the information that you provide to process your order and to
send you a monthly e-mail newsletter if you give us authorization to do so.
We do not sell or pass your information on to third parties, EVER.
How much do you charge for delivery?
UK orders have flat rate of £3.45.
Europe is charged at a flat rate of £18.95.
The rest of the World is charged at flat rate of £24.95.
What if I have a problem with my order?
Mega Model Shop is committed to provide you a stress free service.
If you are not happy please call or email us and we will do everything possible to rectify any problems. Please quote your order number if contacting us by e-mail to make sure we know which order you are referring to.
How do I return a product?
We will accept a wish to cancel your order seven working days starting the day after delivery. During a cancellation of an order, the goods are your responsibility while in your care. Return shipping and insurance is your responsibility.
A full refund is processed no more than 30 days of receiving cancellation notice. All items must be returned un-opened and in a re-saleable condition. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item does not adhere to the above condtions.
I have a Faulty Item?
For any Hornby, Scalextric, Airfix and Corgi products that develop a fault contact Hornby Customer Care on 01843 233525 and they will be able to repair or replace the faulty item. You can return any item to us and we will return it to Hornby but this will take slightly longer.
For other manufacturers please contact us at sales@megamodelshop.co.uk and we will arrange a replacement or repair.
If your item arrives damaged please contact us by email sales@megamodelshop.co.uk and we will arrange for a replacement, we may ask you to return the damaged item first. Please do not return any items without contacting us first.
All our items come with a standard 12 months warranty against faults due to manufacture, damage due to misuse are not covered.
